Presenting complaints:

  • Pain in the right iliac region-3 months
  • Pain in the right lumbar area extending towards the right iliac region and extending down to the leg.
  • Hot flushes all over the body < night
  • Sneezing < morning and lasting till about 10.00 am.
  • Pain in the Knee joint < walking.

History of present illness

  • Pain in the iliac region since 3 months.
  • Pain in the lumbar area since one week.
  • Hot flushes since one week.
  • Sneezing from child hood.
  • Knee pain – 3 days

History of Previous illness

  • Uterus removed 5 yrs back due to heavy uterine bleeding for about six months.
  • Uterus removed at SPAN HOSPITAL, Thiruvananthapuram.

Treatment History: Allopathic

Personal History

  • Born & brought up -Thiruvananthapuram
  • Married at the age of 24 yrs
  • Two live children
  • Vegetarian

Occupational History: NA

Family History: NP

Physical Appearance:

  • Well built, dark complexion

Physical General

Food Desire: Pickles.

Food Aversion: Meat

Menstrual History:

  • Menarche at the age of 13 yrs.
  • Normal cycles till the appearance of uterine bleeding.

Obstetric History: 2 normal deliveries

Sexual History: Not revealed

Sleep: Normal

Dreams and its pattern: Events about future, religious.

Thirst: Normal

Perspiration:Increased

Bowel movements: Normal

Urine: Normal

Easily angered, Cheerful, Company desire, Industrious, Impatient, Memory weakness of, Concentration difficult, Religious, Courageous, Impatient, Loquacity.

Other Investigations: B/P: 130/90 mm Hg.

Ultrasound Scan Report: (09/02/04)

  • Rt. Ovary measures 26×17 mm
  • A cystic area with an internal septation measuring 54×32 mm is seen in left ovary. There is no evidence of  solid area/calcification in the cyst.

  • Cough & cold from last 4 days.
