Drink plenty of water
Cocunut water, barley, pine apple juice, bananas, almonds, carrots, horse grams, bitter gourd are helpful to prevent stone formation
Water, lemonade and most fruit juice can help to dilute the substance in the urine. (Avoid grape juice)
Don’t eat too much animal protein
Limit your intake of spinach, rhubarb, beet root, greens, nuts, chocolates, tea, bean, almonds, peanuts and strawberries.
Reduce sugar in diet.
Avoid excess salt consumption
Avoid coffee or other coffin containing beverages.
Avoid soft drinks
Calcium stones: Leafy vegetables, beans, cauliflower, egg yolk, milk and milk products (such as cheese, yoghurt and milk fat) (butter and ghee need not to be restricted), potatoes, molasses, sesame seeds, ragi.
Phosphate stones: Whole cereals, legumes, nuts and oil seeds, meat, fish, eggs, milk..
Oxalate Stones: Leafy vegetables (spinach), Beet roots, strawberries, tomato, tea, rhubarb, groundnuts, coca, chocolates, cashew nuts, and beef.
Uric acid stone: Fish (herring, fish roe, salmon, sardine), kidney liver, meat extract, soups, sweet breads, brain, channa, rajma, moong, bean sprouts, chickooc, custard apple.
Strictly avoid the following
Vegitables: Curry leaves, Spinach, Drum stick, Green chilly, Beet root, Cabbage, Cauli flower, Ripe mango.
- Non- Veg.: Red meat, Small fish, dries fish.
Other items: Alcohol, Tea, Coffee, Milk, Choclate, Chees, Ground nuts, Cashew nuts, Almonds, Pista.
NB: Better avoid all animal food
Confine strictly to vegetarian diet.
Do not retain urine for a long time.
